Great Video Bob!  We had over a dozen boats and a bunch of people.  The weather was perfect and the Star Zenith boat club provided hot dogs, brats and excellent hamburgers along with soda pop and Culvers donated ice cream.

The river was perfect too and many people took advantage of the on site boat ramp as well as the kindly donated and nearby ramp at Jerry's sport service which was free for us to use that day and very nice!

Beloit Daily News was there and provided coverage in the local paper.  Their article was nicely written and included photo's of two of the boats.

Thank you to all those who attended and a big thank you to Terry Dixon who helped get you there with his relentless enthusiasm and promotional assistance!

I did a brief interview with Kevin about the Sea Lark project at this stage of the project.   I'll try to process that and a few other interviews and get them up in a few daze.  I have had a few opportunities to get expenses paid to attend Shows to make my videos.   If somebody at Geneva Lakes would care to do that, I might see you there.  Neil Aspinall finally sent an email thanking me for a link on my site to his excellent Geneva Lakes Posters.

Hello Bob,

Mary and I will be in Fontana in September for the ACBS Geneva Lakes Boat Show.
Hope to see everybody there. Good idea to preregister now to ensure a space and have your boat listed in the program.

Hey John,

I uploaded the Sea Lark interview yesterday to the main board titled, "Just For A Lark Part Three"
Spending time with the Fin City guys was great.   You should visit if you make it over to Geneva.

I'm real sorry I didn't get the opportunity to record several of the other great boats that made the Show,    a real nice Volksboat (that looked REALLY small parked next to the Samoan)  My bad for calling them Austin Powers and Mini-Me.   We truly hope the Volks folks return in numbers if the Show happens next year.    And, the Coach's Chrysler survivor boat.   While not as old as the fin boats, this is a really nice vintage survivor boat in original condition that hands down, rides better than any speedboat under 18ft I've been in on the Rock River.  Hope you guys had a good time and return next year.

Some of you may recall Tom Morrison who restored his family's runabout.  The interview in my ACS Series from one of the earlier Midwest Shows featured Tom talking about how he painstakingly restored the boat by doing the floor, adding upholstery and using a great color of auto paint with a restored Mercury to match.  Well, Tom returned to the Show this year but was having some mechanical problems with the boat and could not run it.  Tom then placed his boat at the entrance to the Star Zenith complex so that guests could more easily find the new location.  He headed back to Madison before dinner so we never had a chance to thank him for this great gesture.   Thanks, Tom and hope to see you next year.

Tom is an artist from the Madison WI area.  His work is for sale.  You can contact him from his website:
