I did not know about this forum so apologize for not posting sooner. Hope you guys can come to Muscatine as we had to reschedule from our June date due to 4 floods in one year! So we are going to bring you a great time with everything you can think of. Hog Roast on Friday evening, participant cruises, Gutterboat Nationals, Cardboard Boat Regatta, RC boats, cars and planes, classic boats fiberglass, wood, and aluminum. We love the fiberglass classics and they are not Tupperware! My wife and I have both and appreciate them due to what they are not based on material. If you do boats yourself you have a better appreciation of the work of others! There will also be cars, motorcycles, and also this year a hovercraft rally with Bob Windt and others in attendance. My wife's science club of 5th and 6th graders will finally get to display their 2 hovercrafts they have built so they are excited. Check out http://www.muscatineboatshow.com for more information and reduced room rates, maps, dining guide etc. etc. This year it is also Watermelon Days on Saturday so the next street over there will be the famous Muscatine Melons. There is also bands in the park this year for the block party along with a bass tournament that will be kicking off at 6:00 am and they will be back at 1:00 pm for weigh-in for those who like to watch the bass anglers. Free breakfast to all participants of the boat show on Saturday morning from 7:00 to 10:00 am. I hope to see you there as it has been too long with the 2011 event flooded out and almost 2013, The August date we are trying to see if it works for others and seems like it is good timing since most people are back from vacations and the Mississippi has settled down. We will have pictures to show you how the Mississippi filled the park with water. If you have any questions e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 563 260 1970. Dave and Diane
