Not too long ago I obtained a finned boat. It will be added to my collection of mostly wooden Thompson watercraft. She's a 1960 fiberglass Alumacraft 16 ft. Tangier.

She has moss growing in her. So, she needs a major restoration. She is stashed away in my new shed as a "someday" project!

Did you get this one in Eau Claire?  I had been in contact with someone selling a Tangier there earlier this Spring.  I'm trying to track down the Tangier my family had when I was a kid.  It turns out this was not the boat we had, but very similar.  Here's a few links to the Tangier we had:

Yes, my newly acquired Tangier came from Eau Claire. It had gone through two or three owners in the past year as far as I can tell.

Great photos of your family boat.

Looks just like my 1960 Tangier. Mine still has the original 1950's trailer with the square fenders.

Hi "LinLee123". I'd love to see photos of your Tangier. I want to gather as much ammunition prior to restoration. Pics of other boats can prove very helpful.

You can email directly to me if desired: thompsonboat at msn.com
