Wow! That is just fantastic to see that one started! Nice job so far, can't wait to see it done! Thanks for posting this Bill. I agree on the fat fifty, I think the lines will compliment those huge fins very well. Here is what the missing emblem should look like. I can probably photo-shop this into a usable file for you if you like. We could make a photo-engraving or a 3D print in plastic. -KevFin

Cool looking boat Bill, I like the fat 50 idea as well. Bob and I picked up and delivered a motor for his sons boat yesterday at a local lake. While driving around the lake I spotted a smaller finned boat in the pines. We stopped and looked at it and I believe it is a 60 or 61 Pipestone silver arrow. I talked to the owner and think it could be had cheap, but someone robbed all the hardware. I don't know how rare they are but it has neat lines. If either of you have interest I could take pics and maybe deliver to you. Regards, Gene

Ah yes. I remember the struggle to free it from the grips of the trees, ditch full of creatures and muddy farm field, much like quick sand, not to mention it was all during a torrential down pour. I shed, blood, sweat and tears, and a few years off my lifespan to get that boat back to civilization.
They produced a movie to commemorate the journey, they may have changed it a touch for TV. You may have heard of it. LORD OF THE RINGS. The boat being the ring of course.
I thought I was going to die that day. Lol

Yeah Mike, you were a little help, mostly it was the brick I put on the gas pedal of the truck that got it outta da field! LOL! As I recall we both pushed from behind and just dared the truck to get free of the mud and go crashing into a tree! Fun times! -KevFin
